Biochemical Warfare Inside Your Body
How your chemistry could be causing your anxiety.
The majority of people would assume that their anxiety is caused by one of two things:
- Trauma or abuse
- Chemical imbalance in the brain
But what if there’s way more to it?
Airborne allergens, food/beverage sensitivities, nutrient or vitamin deficiencies, medications, hormone imbalances, excess toxins and a bad gut bacteria balance can all throw your mental state for a loop.
I know what you’re thinking…
“Are you f**king serious?! Now I have to worry about all this sh*t too?!”
Take a deep breath, there is an upside to this. The upside is you may not be quite as mentally fkd up as you once thought. Part of your anxiety and feelings of mental overwhelm or fatigue may very well be physiological.
Which means…(drum roll)…
MUCH EASIER TO ADDRESS IN A CONCRETE WAY.
Now, instead of only dealing with the ambiguous “inner work” that is needed to heal anxiety, we can start from the outside in. Because if our body is imbalanced and fighting to survive in an unhealthy environment of our creation, how the hell can we think clearly enough to tackle the inner work?!
Exactly.
So where to begin you ask? Well, we begin by taking a physical audit, and here’s a quick and easy checklist to start with:
- Have a complete blood workup done to check your hormones & vitamin deficiencies (Doc or EverlyWell)
- Getting a food sensitivity test (EverlyWell)
- Checking out your gut bacteria balance (Thryve)
- Get an allergy test if you feel you need one (Doc)
- Consider doing a colon cleanse (yes, gross, but highly effective at removing toxins)
Of course, this looks like a lot of stuff. But the information you are going to receive from these tests and the changes in your health, mental state, and life will be astronomical!!
As someone who fought with symptoms way past doing all my “inner work”, I can tell that this was the secret enemy wreaking havoc on my daily functioning and how I felt on a regular basis. Discovering this changed my life drastically, hence why I’d like to share it with you.
As always, I appreciate your time and attention. If you found this helpful, please feel free to share with anyone you think it may also help. “Sharing is caring”, yes? Ok, go tackle your health and feel free to ask any questions below or via my email gabrielle@wellnessinvestor.com.
